On what I can only assume was a cold, wet December evening in Ireland, Shauna Roe performed skulduggery. Stay with me. Skulduggery, as the Irish put it, is another word for trickery. Rebellion. Tomfoolery, if you will. Shauna Roe climbed into a stolen Mercedes Benz and drove away with her teenage boyfriend at the wheel. They went on to steal two bicycles that night, as revealed by CCTV footage. Stealing two bicycles after stealing a Mercedes feels like such a step down, doesn’t it? That’s like stealing a steak dinner and washing it down with a stolen fountain drink from Burger King. Dream bigger, people! Following the bike incident, the two skulduggers were apprehended, subsequently charged, and are currently awaiting trial. All over the news, as I’m sure you can imagine, a scandal like this rocking a quaint, wholesome little Irish town. Families embarrassed. Communities shaken. Futures undetermined…
